Excursion to the Immigration Museum

Last week we went on a big excursion to the Melbourne Immigration Museum. We also visited the Old Sandridge Bridge, Enterprize Park and Polly Woodside. These are all significant sites which help to tell the story of people moving to Melbourne. Our visit reminded us that the Aboriginal people had been living in the place we call Melbourne for a lonnnnnnggg……… time before other people arrived here. We learned about two particular stories of immigration: Rebecca Greaves and Cuc Lam. These two women came to Melbourne at very different times and in different ways but they both became part of Melbourne’s history.

Gurnika and Jimmy say: “The excursion was awesome!!!!!!”

Tell us how you came to Melbourne. We would love to hear your story 🙂

3/4F Assembly

Last Friday we did our first Assembly for the year. It was a lot of work to get ready but everyone in 3/4F worked really hard and we were proud of the final product. We began our Assembly with the beautiful prayer written by St Francis of Assisi, Canticle of the Creatures. We thought we would share it with you on our blog. Let us know if you enjoy it.
